If you register before 31 March, it costs $40 for Adults and $20 for Children ages 15 and under to enter The Big Easy.

There will be limited on the day sales available. These will be priced at $50 for Adults and $30 for Children ages 15 and under. 

It is approx 28km from the Family start at Farndon Park, Clive to the finish at Church Road Winery.

Online registrations will close at midday Wednesday 31st March*.

There may be limited 'on the day' registrations available at the Church Road start and the Family Start at Fardon Park in Clive, however spots will be limited so we highly recommend pre-registering.

*Please note: to be guaranteed a T-shirt you must register by close of day on Wednesday 10th of March. After that time T-shirts will be allocated on a first in, first served basis. 

There may be limited number of registrations available on the day at the main start at Church Road Winery and at the Family Start on Marine Parade. However to avoid disappointment we strongly recommend your pre-register.

Please note: to be guaranteed a t-shirt your must be registered by close of day on Sunday 14th March. After that time T-shirts will be allocated on a first in, first served basis.

The Big Easy will officially start at 10:30am from Church Road Winery in Taradale, Napier, and wrap up at 5:00pm with the end of the concert at Church Road Winery kicking off at 2:00pm.

There will also be a Family Start at Fardon Park in Clive which will roll out at 11:00am

The concert will start at 2:00pm and wrap up at 5:00pm.

You will receive a Cycle The Big Easy T-Shirt* and map with route information and details on the amazing on route deals you can access on the reverse.

Registration pack collection will also be available on Thursday 1 April 1:00pm - 7:00pm and Friday 2 April 10:00am - 2:00pm from The Box Ahuriri on Waghorne Street (next to Navigate Hotel) - look for the blue Big Easy flags

You will also be able to collect your registration pack on the morning of the event from your selected starting point (full ride at Church Road Winery, Taradale or Family Ride at Farndon Park in Clive).

Yes, there will be parking available at the start/finish line at Church Road Winery. Please look for the signs and marshalls for directions and don't park anywhere you shouldn't.

Please note: T-shirts are all unisex sizing, please look at the measurements to order the most appropriate sized t-shirt. We will be unable to swap your t-shirt for other sizing once the order has been placed.

Small (Size 6):  Chest - 64cm

Medium (Size 10):  Chest - 72cm

Large (Size 14):  Chests - 80cm

Adults t-shirts:
Small:  Chest - 97cm

Medium:  Chest - 102cm

Large:  Chest - 107cm

X-Large:  Chest - 112cm

2X-Large:  Chest - 117cm

3X-Large:  Chest - 122cm

5X-Large:  Chest - 132cm

Chest measurement is based off measuring under your arms around the fullest part of your chest.

Please note: to be guaranteed a specific t-shirt size, you must register by the close of business on Wednesday 10th March. After that time t-shirts will be allocated online on a first in, first served basis.

There will be transport available from Church Road Winery to the Family Start at Farndon Park in Clive in the morning only.
Buses are available at a cost of $10.00 per person one way. This includes a bus pass for the rider and a truck pass for your bike.
Please book your space when you register to make sure you've got a seat.


This option is to be taken at your own risk. The organisers take no responsibility for any damage or loss to bikes should you use this option.

Children are welcome to register for The Big Easy and ride with a supervising adult at the cost of $20 per child (15 years and younger).

This year, the Family Start is from Farndon Par in Clive - a ride of approximately 28km to Church Road Winery - to help little legs make it to the finish line. this is a link

  • Your printed registration form.
  • Your Bike - we recommend that you have this safety checked
  • Bike helmet – check that it fits correctly - helmet is to fit snugly under the chin, and two fingers should fit under the chin strap. Helmets are compulsory
  • Closed-in Running Shoes & socks
  • Any medication you may need during the event
  • Drink bottle and water
  • Sunscreen
  • A jacket to make sure you're not cold at the end of the event
  • Cash on hand for refreshments along the way
  • A padlock for your bike.

All public roads will remain open to vehicles, please be safety conscious and aware of your surroundings at all times.

There may be limited door sales available depending on ticket availability. To guarantee yourself a ticket please register online .

Sorry, there is a no BYO policy in place for Church Road Winery. There will be alcohol available to purchase on site.

The Big Easy will go on! Riders in Hawke's Bay aren't afraid of rain!

In the event that The Big Easy is cancelled full refunds will be given. We will notify all ticket holders of the cancelation via email as well as updating our website and social media.

No sorry, due to the safety risks to both your dog and other riders we do not allow dogs to participate in The Big Easy.

We will be following all Government guidelines for hosting a safe event. Should any there be a level change or new guidelines set by the Government will will adapt to meet these and notify ticket holders of these changes.

We will have a full register of participants for contact tracing.

There will be QR codes available for people to scan in using the COVID tracing app.

Hand sanitiser will be available.
